Siskiyou Artists Association - 2011 Scholarship Winners
Each year the Siskiyou Artists Association awards scholarships to local art students.
Siskiyou Artists Association is happy to announce the winner of the 2011 Scholarship Award of $750 to COS student Jodi Houston. This year SAA is also awarding a $350 Special Merit Award to recent high school graduate, Angela West.
These art students will display their work at SAA's Annual Show at the Sisson Museum from August 19th to September 5th. They will receive their awards at the SAA's show reception on Friday, August 19th, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please come and meet these talented art students and congratulate them on their success at the SAA show reception.

Jodi plans to continue her art education seeking a certificate in graphic design from COS. She currently is talented in both photography and drawing, and plans to use these skills in creating web designs, developing logos for companies, and producing other graphic art and photographic materials for individuals and businesses. |
 Angela West |
Angela, a recent graduate of Etna High School, will continue her studies at Southern Oregon University majoring in Art. Angela has received numerous school awards for her art projects. In the summer of 2010, she travel to six countries in a study program covering art, culture and history. Angela, hopes to continue her studies so that one day she'll become a professor of art. |
