Art Student Scholarship

The Siskiyou Artists Association is again pleased to offer $750 scholarships to promising young artists in Siskiyou County. The scholarships are available to students enrolled at College of the Siskiyous and to graduating Siskiyou County high school seniors. If you know of an eligible individual who is planning to continue their art education, please encourage them to apply.

Qualifications and Instructions

  1. Applicant must plan to enroll in the fall of 2012 at an accredited college as an art major.
  2. Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.3 grade point average.
  3. Applicant must furnish at least one letter of recommendation from an art instructor.
  4. Applicant will be required to meet with the Siskiyou Artist Association Scholarship Committee at a designated time to display a portfolio of his or her art projects. Currently scheduled for the 1st week of June.
  5. Recipients of the scholarship must provide proof of enrollment for the fall 2012 semester by the school registrar.
  6. Recipients must show their art work at the Siskiyou Artists Association Art Show held August 18, 2012 thru September 4, 2012.
  7. Scholarship award will be presented at the reception for the annual Siskiyou Artists Association Art Show on Friday, August 17, 2012.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN May 18, 2012.
