Art Student Scholarship

The Siskiyou Artists Association is again pleased to offer two $750 scholarships to promising young artists in Siskiyou County. The scholarships are available to students enrolled at College of the Siskiyous and to graduating Siskiyou County high school seniors. If you know of an eligible individual who is planning to continue their art education, please encourage them to apply.

Qualifications and Instructions

  1. Applicant must plan to enroll in the Fall semester at an accredited college as an Art major.
  2. Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.3 grade point average
  3. Applicant must furnish at least one letter of recommendation from an art instructor.
  4. Applicant will be required to meet with the SAA Scholarship Committee at a designated time to display a portfolio of his or her art projects.
  5. Scholarship recipients are required to display their art work at SAA's Annual Art Show, which runs from August 14 through September 6, 2010.
  6. Scholarship winners will receive the award at SAA's Annual Art Show reception on August 13, 2010. Proof of enrollment by the school registrar must be provided to SAA as soon as it is available during the fall semester.
